This is very good team with different combination. People vote against UNP in past because they all want Mr to complete the War. All of us know that UNP is the best party who can build our economy.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 03:12 AM

the elephant is back but without the original UNP is this a photo copy or carbon copy dont fool the masses

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 03:16 AM

Now people dont have confidence with this Front! I think majority will vote for SF (symapthy votes)

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 11:22 AM

JVP IS TO BLAME THE PRESENT SITUATION

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 03:32 AM

they did same thing sarath fonseeka which they did genaral janaka perera under curently unpers did not love tothe country they love LTTE

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 12:03 PM

They were together for a purpose (i.e. to get the General elected as the President). Now that task is over, so let the UNP get along with its normal political business.

    Wednesday, 24 February 2010 05:28 PM

They enjoy Signing MOU's. Great Leadership

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 03:55 AM

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 12:38 PM

Opposition leadership for 8 more years guaranteed..

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 04:10 AM

The General wanted to be the Leader of the UNF. He was offered the Deputy Leaders position. He declined. It was not a question of dumping. Ambition got the better of him.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 01:06 PM

It's obvious that Mr. RW will never step down . He will not allow anybody else to take his place . So the UNP has become Mr. RW and that's about it !

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 04:31 AM

UNP manuvers could be understood only by people with intelligence as they are complexed but give good results, so for those who cannot understand they jump in to conclutions.

    Wednesday, 24 February 2010 06:56 PM

    Good luck!

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 04:43 AM

Very correct. He used SF when his leadership was challenged. This will be the end of UNP & JVP both.
    Very sad.

    Wednesday, 24 February 2010 07:56 PM

    It's great ... 'Country first'!

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 04:56 AM

    its a good move

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 02:35 PM

    Friday, 26 February 2010 03:06 AM

Good move UNP to save itself from the crafty manoeuvres of the JVP/

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 05:10 AM

Yesterday SF was the Hero to UNP.Today he is Zero to them,What a shame.Country first?
    Dharmasena

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 05:11 AM

    From end to hell .

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 09:24 AM

Go it alone RW. You should have done it for the Presidential elections. Better than getting SF on to your side.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 09:31 AM

    M.O.UNDERSTANDING.
Some guys have MISUNDERSTOOD the word UNDERSTANDING,

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 05:36 AM

Who dumped who and who would have dumped whom, if they won is the question?????????

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 05:36 AM

That is not true. UNP did not dump SF. SF is adament and wants the largest opposition party at thisi bidding. Though we did support the SWAN, we do not like what they are now trying to do the UNP.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 03:53 PM

Dear Ranil, talk to our great leader, Mahinda Rajapakse, get some advice.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 09:43 AM

get rurarl unp ers poll on the election day

    Wednesday, 24 February 2010 11:10 PM

Why doesn't RW get 'writers cramp'?

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 06:01 AM

    Garbage goes where gabage is.

    Wednesday, 24 February 2010 11:19 PM

The UNP will one day suffer for what they have done to the good General. They used him and dumped him, like a bag of garbage. It's worse than what the government has done to SF.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 06:10 AM

Unp Should have contested in swan symbol, along with
    SF & JVP.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 06:10 AM

You all are giving decided signal. It is time all of you to forget politics and save our democrcy to establish good politicians

    Friday, 26 February 2010 04:36 AM

UNP is no main political party now. Only a good opposition. They are bound to bungle this election too & cry foul together with the Worthless JVP & SF.

    Friday, 26 February 2010 04:37 AM

There is a limit to displaying your imbecility?

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 06:24 AM

Please do not let down General Sarath Fonseka.

    Wednesday, 24 February 2010 11:56 PM

    Beginning of the end.

    Friday, 26 February 2010 04:42 AM

Is it to loose again shamelessly?

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 06:46 AM

Please discuss & come to conclusion about the election under "Hansaya". Don not forget/Hurt great hero General.
We love RW as well as SF. RW is a Master Mind as SF is Real Hero !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Friday, 26 February 2010 04:43 AM

Open your eyes to see what democracy you do not have!

    Friday, 26 February 2010 04:44 AM

You have to let-down people who can not be let loose!

    Friday, 26 February 2010 04:45 AM

    Day dreaming I suppose?

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 01:09 AM

    Signing for burial rights?

    Friday, 26 February 2010 04:47 AM

No one can pull RW from the hell-hole he had arbitrarily dived -into.

    Friday, 26 February 2010 04:49 AM

    Well said!!

    Friday, 26 February 2010 04:49 AM

    They ruined our economy???

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 01:31 AM

YOU MAY NOT WIN , BUT GIVE A GOOD FIGHT, THATs THE SPIRIT. GOOD LUCK RANIL & CO

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 01:52 AM

Sign a MOU with the King !.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 01:52 AM

Good luck and bets wishes for a more meaningfull, strengthened and collective effort on behalf of the country. Saving democracy is in our mother land is in your hand as the main political partry.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 10:34 AM

RW is a selfish man. That's the main reason why UNP is the opposition party today & everday.

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 07:19 AM

then who is the original UNP ? Rajitha ? SB ? or Jonstan ?

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 02:33 AM

    No Leadership first (opposition)

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 10:55 AM

Very good question though. I'm sure the JVP led General would have dumped Ranil. But UNP cannot fall to the depths of JVP?

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 03:01 AM

Please don't abandon the patriot, Saraht Fonseka

    Thursday, 25 February 2010 11:00 AM

No party dumped SF only the 57% who vote against him dumped him.
