The need of the hour is at least a strong opposition. Why don't you guys get your act together. If you do so the people will support you and we can send the Chinthana stooges home

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 02:25 PM

RANIL GO ALONE WITH ALIYA! Let the JVP to imerge as JVP.

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 02:29 PM

    May be regarding this:-
    IF UNP WANTS TO WIN
    1. Ranil should proceed as the leader.
    2. And he should attract his voters through bracelets & ringing tones.
    3. He should take an oath of allegiance and a resignation letter from all the members who are contesting in this election under UNP ticket.
    4. Still he should allow certain candidates to crossover if they are a threat to his leadership.
    5. Eventhough nobody believes on computer jilmart he should give priority to this in his propaganda.
    6. He should show his computer literacy by challenging the result of the Prez. Election.
    7. People’s sufferings should never be addressed. They should give priority to rumours, fabricated stories & pure ‘mud slinging’ to the opponent candidates.

REGARDLESS OF HOLDING ON TO THE SYMBOLS BY EACH PARTY, LIKE BEFORE CHOOSE ANOTHER COMMON SYMBOL, SAY " white DOVE " to signify peace in this Island, without fighting for the individuality of each opposition party. THE PRESENT SITUATION NEEDS ALL OPPOSITION To GET TOGER AND FIGHT THE UPFA. UNITY IN DIVERSITY IS THE CALL OF THE HOUR.

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 02:47 PM

How the alliance will contest the upcoming General Election?
what ever decission you make please do not change the ELEPHANT SYMBOL

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 02:59 PM

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 03:08 PM

Fonseka must be cursing you now...!

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 03:19 PM

Why not meet and decide after the parliamentary elections. You will have lot of free time by that time!

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 03:20 PM

Suba anagathsk weva! Now that the swan is kicked out by unp as predicted elephant will bring back some lost glory after failing miserably trying out jvp cooked up lost cause

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 03:30 PM

SO MANY ELECTIONS WERE HELD. PLEASE GET TOGETHER AND FIND A WAY OF STOPPING ELECTION RIGGING. THAT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANY THING .

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 03:33 PM

YOU SHOULD GO THE SAME WAY AS THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS AS THE RESULTS WERE FRUITFUL. THOUGH THE OUT COME WAS SOME THING ELSE. DUE TO REASONS ARE WELL KNOWN .

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 03:37 PM

Its the best Mr.Ranil to join with SF and contest the General Election

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 03:43 PM

Gentlemen and Ladies of the UNF,

Please make a sensible decision. We don't really know the 'inside stories' of the opposition alliance at the presidential election. Was it indeed reliable? Were there under cover plans? Was it as genuine in its intention as the allied parties said? Was there any move to corner our noble leader? Please consider all these and also take into account
as to how best GSF can be accommodated in politics(if he so wishes) without obligations to anybody though.

    Best Regards

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 03:52 PM

What is there to discuss so much. If Hakeem and Ganeshan are not happy about seat allocations, tell to contest alone and see how they fare.Hakeem is demanding that all moslem candidates from the East should only be from his party.- no UNPers. What rubbish is this ?

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 04:14 PM

Discussing and discussing but still you guys did-not take a final decision. By the time you take a decision, the baby will born.

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 04:14 PM

    sinking boat

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 04:19 PM

Right way to fight terror is to fight under the banner of General Sarath Fonseka. Be united guys rather than being seperated.

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 04:21 PM

Meeting ..... ting ting - Gala udda Dong... Dong... Always meetings....why these un-wanted meetings, better go under one shield of Gen. SF. Its good for all and the victory is sure.

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 04:21 PM

Failure to contest as a common opposition will make you all a ruthless Politicos who act with hypocrisy, which will make your attempt (at recently held presidential elections) null and void. How can you so called Patriotic Politicos even breath in peace when General is appealing for a moment to breath some fresh Air. This is Sri Lanka after all. What a pathetic situation we are facing at present ?

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 04:23 PM

The Alliance must never break at this point of time. Unity is Strength. It needs to give the Rajapakse administration a run at the General elections and defeat them and also see that General Sarath Fonseka is released immediately.

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 04:24 PM

    We prefer SF without UNP.

    Sunday, 21 February 2010 04:48 PM

Wat a big plan Ranil went through to retain his opposition leadership position. Brought in the General to lose the Presidential election. Now kicking out the General and contesting under the Elephant where he is the LEADER to retain the OPPOSITION LEADER position
