Two sluice gates of Laxapana opened

Two sluice gates of Laxapana reservoir were opened today, Irrigation Engineer of Laxapana said. He also said the residents around the Kelani river banks are cautioned to be vigilant.

Meanwhile, two more died bringing the total of deaths to 7 and 24000 are affected due to torrential rain. Some roads in Meerigama, Kurunegala Bulathsinhala, Palinda Nuwara, Ruwanwella, Ratnapura and Kalutara were flooded. (YP)
