The Water Board says there will be a water cut in several parts of Colombo and Greater Colombo from 9am tomorrow to 1 a.m on Sunday owing to urgent repairs to be undertaken by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) informed that all the areas that fall under the Colombo Municipal Council as well as the following Municipal and Urban councils would be affected by the water cut:
Municipal councils: Kotte, Dehiwala –Mt.Lavinia.
Urban councils: Maharagama, Peliyagoda, Wattala-Mabola, Ja-Ela, Kelaniya and Kolonnawa.
Also, Mahara, Dompe, Kesbewa, Biyagama, Biyagama free trade zones, Malwana, Boralesgamuwa, Kotikawatta – Mulleriyawa as well as Battaramulla, Hokandara and Malabe areas of the Kaduwela provincial council would be affected through the water cut.
The NWSDB stated that a disruption in the power supply to the Ambatale Water Treatment plant is the reason behind the water-cut.

when they do repairs on week ends they get paments at over time rates. what about consumers who wait till week end to do their work load at home.
