Two children drown in Trincomalee

Two children died when their mother jump into the sea with them in the sea off Trincomalee this afternoon, the Police said.

The 9-year-old boy and the 12-year-old girl died while their mother was rescued by the Navy and admitted to the Trincomalee Hospital.

The two children were pronounced dead upon admission to the hospital.

    Never heard so many tragic incidents involving small children in Sri Lanka in the past.
