Two arrested for murder in Piliyandala

Two persons had been arrested today on charges of killing a 20 year-old youth from Kahapola, Piliyandala in January.

Police said they had received a complaint stating that the youth from Sooriyawewa, who had been working at a private company in Piliyandala, had gone missing from January 28.

The Piliyandala police had launched an investigation in to the incident and arrested the two suspects, aged 21 and 24, over the murder of the youth.

Police said the victim was killed and his body burnt near the Bolgoda forest reserve.
