Three people were killed and at least nine others were injured when a train collided with a van at a level crossing at Peradeniya along the Colombo Kandy railway line. According to the police the van had attempted to cross the tracks at the time the train was approaching when the accident occurred.

Negligence of an errant driver had caused the fatal accident and three precious lives have been perrished. I hope and prey that injured will be recovered soon.

So many accidents, and still, our drivers don't learn! Once on the road, they are always in a mighty hurry, and so, most of them end-up 'dead on time' rather than being 'late and alive.'
