Traffic arrangements for Qatar Emir's visit

Vehicle movement along several roads leading from the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) to Colombo will be restricted on tomorrow (24) for the Emir of Qatar Tamimi bin Hamad Al Thani’s visit to Sri Lanka, the Police Department said.

According to the Police, Colombo entrance of the Katunayake – Colombo expressway, Baseline Road, Orugodawatta, Borella, D.S signals, Horton Place, Road in front of the Lotus Road, Liberty Roundabout, St Michael Roundabout, Galle Road from Kollupitiya to Galle Face Green and N.S.A.  Roundabout would be closed from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm tomorrow.

Police said vehicle movement along the same roads will be restricted from 3.45 pm to 4.45 pm as the King would travel to the BIA for his departure.

Emir Tamimi bin Hamad Al Thani is scheduled to hold discussions with President Maithripala Sirisena on upgrading ties between Qatar and Sri Lanka.
