TID to handle Lasantha murder

The join investigations between the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Terrorist Investigations Department (TID) into the murder of Sunday Leader editor Lasantha Wickrematunge was transferred to the TID today.

The investigations will be conducted by the TID here after. The two suspects who are  now in custody in connection with the incident,  a former military intelligence officer and  a garage owner were further remanded till the 17th of January by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate. (Ananda Weerasooriya)
