Thilan deserves to be in the team , good move, mixture of experience and youth will help the future .

    Harshan Tuesday, 19 February 2013 07:21 AM

I think this is a good decision made by selectors. We need to win this series at high to upgrade the confidence of Mathews. Thilan would be the appropriate replacement for Mahela considering huge experiences and batting style.

    Anderezja Tuesday, 19 February 2013 07:25 AM

Good chance for Thilan to go out on his terms. He deserves to play a last test!

    shan Tuesday, 19 February 2013 07:27 AM

This is a joke. Thilan was dropped few days back due to his poor form, and now he is back again.

    sujith Tuesday, 19 February 2013 07:28 AM

Why SLC can't nominate a youth?

    onlooker Tuesday, 19 February 2013 10:40 AM

This is what the new selectors mean by giving the Youth a chance. The next vacancy will be filled by Sanath Jayasuriya.

    Best comment ever.

    Amo Tuesday, 19 February 2013 07:41 AM

Could have brought in B.Rajapaksa in place of Mahela.,

    cocohead Tuesday, 19 February 2013 11:03 AM

This is a good decision. Without Sanga and mahela there would be a serious depletion of experience in the team. Also Thilan scored a 100 against NCC, so he's in form. Good one yet again Sanath!

    lionheart Wednesday, 20 February 2013 06:50 AM

Do you understand the term experience? Can you match that term with performance? What did your Sanga and Mahela with all thier experience do in Australia? Are you happy with having experienced non performers in a team? COCOHEAD seems just the name for you.

    ANTON Tuesday, 19 February 2013 07:44 AM

I think Kaushalya is better than Thilina.

    johnad Tuesday, 19 February 2013 07:59 AM

GREAT DECISION THATS THE WAY TO GO THILAN HAS ALOT OF EXPERIENCES AND AS TO WERE THE TEST TEAM IS NOW ITS GOOD TO HAVE HIM BACK....

    suraweera Tuesday, 19 February 2013 08:16 AM

What if he gets good scores in BD? will they retain him in place of mahela?

    pahan Tuesday, 19 February 2013 11:48 AM

why 11 people dislike harshans comments i dont undertand what people request from the selectors and the team/

    Fayad Tuesday, 19 February 2013 08:27 AM

The chance should have gone to a young cricketer
For a future investment as the opponent like Bangadesh

    pahan Tuesday, 19 February 2013 11:50 AM

Thilan mast be the test captain.

    shanthapriya Tuesday, 19 February 2013 08:38 AM

yeah ... just for the want of royalist... but there are more talanted plyayers

    Lobo Tuesday, 19 February 2013 11:58 AM

What a farce! The focus was supposed to be on giving new talent a chance. Why persist with tilan when he was already dropped for lack of performance?

    chandrakumar Wednesday, 20 February 2013 08:23 AM

Hopefully Thilan, pay back the trust placed on him. In Australia he looked like a third grade cricketer. We wish you well, but please do not repeat the same awful circus you displayed in front of the Australian and srilankan cricket fans in Australia.

    pahan Tuesday, 19 February 2013 08:56 AM

NO amo i think more better m.silva and m.malathgamage

    prem Tuesday, 19 February 2013 09:10 AM
