A temporary army camp will be setup at Aluthgama despite requests by residents for a permanent camp, Military Spokesman Ruwan Wanigasooriya said.
He said the camp would provide the necessary facilities to army personnel engaged in rebuilding the homes and properties destroyed in the June riots. Brigadier Wanigasooriya said the camp would be closed no sooner the work was completed. (Sanath Desmond)
