The owner of Help Green, a company that advertised investments in teak trees, has been arrested for defrauding more than Rs. 10 million from the public by the Fraud Investigation Unit of the Nugegoda police.
The owner had operated the Help Green company in Anuradhapura and Pelawatte. The arrest was made after the police had received several complaints from lawyers, businessman and top officials of the security forces stating that the businessman had recieved large sums of money to maintain the teak cultivation.
Warrants for his arrest were issued by the Kaduwela, Dambulla and Mt. Lavania courts.

Hope my nephew, a sales person with a meager monthly salary and three kids to bring up did not invest in this project, when he told me he is investing in a Teak project!!
