Tamil political parties operating in Batticaloa had talks with the army over maintaining security in the east and other related issues.
At the meeting over the weekend both sides also discussed an incident which occurred on Friday night where the weapon of a police officer was stolen by an unidentified group while he was on duty near the Batticaloa railway station.
The Tamil parties which included TELO, TMVP, PLOTE, EPDP, EROS and EPRLF, extended support to the military on the security related issues and also to nab the suspects involved in Friday’s incident. (Tamil Mirror)

Tamils have too many political parties with differing agendas, and everyone wants to the top man. Very often these politicians represent only themselves and substantial financial offering will silence them to forget the core issues.

The above named Tamil parties are military groups and not even have 10% voice from those areas. All those parties refer to "Ealam" and they want to support the GOSL.

President must take a bold move.
Only main stream parties must remain and tell the others to go and work in the paddy fields to develop the nation.
And those who have GCE A/L 3C's can enter politics.
Cabinet ministers must be graduates.
Then only our country will survive.
