A group of Tamil political parties, part of the Forum of Tamil Political Parties, met in Colombo yesterday and discussed the resettlement of people displaced by the war in the Wanni district, reports said.
The Tamil parties, which included the TULF, EPDP, TMVP and PLOTE, were of the opinion that the displaced people should be resettled in their original homes and not at alternate locations.
They also discussed the abduction of a Batticaloa TMVP Municipal Councilor whose family recently threatened to set themselves on fire if the Councilor is not found any time soon.
