Supermarket in flames

A supermarket in Ukwatte, Galle was set on fire by an unidentified group last night following a clash between two factions in the area. Galle Police said there had been friction between the two factions in the Gintota area over religious traditions.

They said security had been tightened in the area to prevent any untoward incidents. (Sajeewa Wijeweera)
