Suminda Weerasinghe dies

Award-winning cinematographer Suminda Weerasinghe passed away in Anuradhapura early today. Film sources said the veteran cinematographer was working on the newest movie 'Siri Dalada Gamanaya' in Anuradhapura when he breathed his last.  

The 62-year-old renowned cameraman had been the live wire behind the success stories of celebrated movies including Aba, Mahinda Gamanaya, Road to Elephant Pass, Pawuru Walalu, Anthima Reya, Bindu, Nisala Gira, Arunata Pera and several others. Funeral arrangements have not been finalized yet. (Ramesh Uvais)
