A clash had been reported a shortwhile ago between the Police and Inter University Students Federation (IUSF), who earlier forcibly entered the premises of the Higher Education ministry in Town Hall after breaking its gates.
Sources said that after escaping from the Ministry premises, students had come to the Viharamaha Devi Park. The Students started to attack pelting stones on Police, who used water canon to disperse the protestors.
At least 20 persons, including 12 policemen and eight students, were hospitalised following clash, police said.Police also took 21 students into custody for questioning, Police Spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said.

That's exactly the point. These guys make mockery of the free education when at the university and once they leave the university, they not only forget what they were shouting about but hate the new lot who does it. Student protests are a fake show fueled by the JVP ideology.

This is the will the university students have in standing up against antidemocratic moves. Only the students are strong enough to take up this challenge. None other Sri Lankan can do it. Well done guys.

Students, you have time to rectify rest of the world. But, you don't have time to study. Why don't you all study hard, get through your exams quickly and got to the society and start serving the people with the knowledge you gained? I can't call anyone doing just that as "ALAYA"!
