Student in hospital sits for Grade 5 Scholarship Exam

A student from Hatton, who was under medication at Peradeniya hospital for his injured hand, had sat for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination at the hospital premises today.

Ranjan Arasu, a ten year old, got his hand injured when chopping firewood at his home in Katloya Estate, Bogantalawa.

Under the request of the child, the Commissioner General of Examinations had permitted him to sit for the examination in the conference room of the Hospital under the supervision of an Invigilator of the Examinations Department. (L.B.Senaratne)

Brings memories of a law student in an AC room with a supervisor who wrote the exam scripts for him. He parades in a black coat now. And a student who complained was harrassed to the limit.
