Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne released SSP Baba Mahil Dole, M.S.M. Aslam, Jainudeen Kamaldeen, A. Wickremasinghe, and M. F. Pushpakaran on the instructions of the Attorney General who told Court he was not taking any legal action against the five suspects.
The CID said it would submit a report in Court with regard to other suspects after receiving the AG’s instructions.
n this case the CID alleged that clearance certificates had been issued to those who applied for immigration visas without carrying out a check on the applicants and had allegedly obtained hundreds of thousands of rupees from each applicant.(By Lakmal Sooriyagoda)

If the suspects have taken so much money and issued clearance certificates to suspected terrorists, how can they be released? Thanks AG for showing us the Law prevailing in Sri Lanka
