Soldiers’ killing over personal dispute - Army

It has now been revealed that a Soldier shot himself after killing two other soldiers over a personal dispute in Chavakachcheri, Jaffna, Military Spokesman Brigadier Nihal Hapuarachchi stated.

‘According to initial investigations, there is no third party involvement in this case, it was due to a personal dispute,’ the spokesman said.

Meanwhile the army Headquarters said in a statement:

“Three soldiers who were on duty at Murugan Kovil, Chavakachcheri were killed due to a shooting incident last night. Initial inquiries have revealed that the shooting was due to a personal dispute among the three soldiers and that there was no third party involvement. Chavakachcheri Police is conducting further investigations."

    This kind of incidents have taken place many times in the past (during war period). Those who have lost their brothers, husbands know and most of cases prosecuted in military court.

    Have to be careful when you deal with armed personals, a silly incident can take a life of another because we should not forget that not all soldiers have the same education level or see the value of life.

    People in Civil, Military, Police Navy garments and even Nude , are after all are etc Human beings,possesimg, anger, love,jealousy, envy etc according to pure psycology. Therefore this incident should not be taken isolated, but treated in geaneral.
