SLTB law suit against MR on Nov.11

The Colombo Commercial High Court has fixed November 11 for the Sri Lanka Transport Board to support the lawsuit filed against ex-president Mahinda Rajapaksa and six UPFA election-committee members who are alleged to have defaulted the payment of Rs.14 million owed to the SLTB whose buses were used to transport people to his propaganda meetings.

The case was taken up for hearing by Commercial High Court Judge Shiranee Gunaratne.

SLTB filed the case through its lawyers Somaratne Associates with the election committee members including Mr. Rajapaksa, Susil Premajayantha,

The SLTB has named seven UPFA election committee members, including Mr. Rajapaksa, Susil Premajayantha, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and Gamini Senarath, as respondents. (T. Farook Thajudeen)

    Yahapalanaya is doing a proper job.But there should be a clear end not to thorow the case half way.These fund should be recovered from MRS personal Acets as he has taken enough of funds from Govt.of mother Lanka.Recover the funds and use it for the development of the country.
