Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka expects 50 to 60 new IPOs in 2011, SEC Chairman Indrani Sugathadasa said.

In order to make the shareholding of these companies broad based, the SEC should make a ruling to the effect that all applications for upto, say, 5000 shares (or thereabout, according to the magnitude of the particular issue) be issued in full.
