At least Ugandan President visited Sri Lanka and clinched a deal to provide safe water to its citizens with help from our country. But, one wonders what assistance we are going to provide to Swaziland subsequent to the visit of their King to our country. perhaps, import of some reeds or a by-product of it?

There are parts of the island even tap water is not available - surely we must ensure every SLn home has access to clean water first?!

So what? Even thats a problem for us people? And for your info, VATech Wabag is not a Sri lankan company. Its a multinational. Only people from its Sri lankan unit went. It's good news for everyone. Atleast no one here is dying for lack of water!

Charity and investments are 2 words with different meanings. Maybe you should read it again. M/s VATech Wabag sent their employees from its Sri Lanka unit to explore Uganda's potential in the water sector which will bring much needed $$$ for SL. If only we could tap into the wealth of experience and knowledge that a lot of SL in SL and overseas, we might just be another Singapore in the making. Instead we will all worry about a Halal emblem and get our knickers in twist. Way to go!
