Human skeletal remains had been found in a well in a land belonging to a senior police officer in Kalavila, Beruwala, police said yesterday.

The land belongs to an Assistant Superintend Police. The skeletal remains were found in a well which had not been used for some time ago and was being emptied in order to be put into use. The body had been dumped in the well with a stone tied to its neck.  The Kalutara Police have initiated investigations.  The magisterial inquiry is to be conducted today. (Sunil Thanthriarachchi)
