Six Indian fishermen arrested in SL waters

Sri Lanka Navy and Sri Lanka Coast Guard on routine patrol arrested six Indian fishermen and one Indian trawler engaged in illegal fishing Sri Lankan waters at the north-west of Talaimannar last night, the Navy said.

Navy spokesman said a 14-year old boy was also among the arrested fishermen and they were brought to Thalaimannar pier along with the trawler and handed over to the Department of Fisheries official in Mannar for legal action.
