Steps are currently being taken to fill the sinkhole which has yet again opened up along the Colombo-Galle main road in Wellawatte, near the Roxy cinema.  The lane affected by the sinkhole has been closed for vehicular traffic.

The sinkhole which had opened up several times before due to heavy rainfall was repaired but had re-appeared again. Motorist are advised to take alternative routes to avoid any inconvenience (GS)

It's probably due to the soil erosion caused by the sea which is close by. I wish they'd first fix the root of the problem.

This is existing more than one year, CMC and RDA passing the ball to each other. As these inefficient institutes unable to solve this problem I think defence secretary has to intervene and sort this out.

Responsible Authority, please fix it once and for all. The last repair has lasted just 3 years - a waste of money and our time.
