Saudi Arabia’s feared religious police arrested a divorced local woman for having an affair with a Sri Lankan man after confessing she was pregnant, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice seized the woman with the Sri Lankan private driver at his room in the eastern province of Ihsa, 'Sabq' said.

“She confessed to having a relationship for nearly four months with the Sri Lankan driver and that she was pregnant,” it said. “They also found obscene pictures of the woman in the driver’s mobile phone.” (Source: emirates24/7)

People from Sri Lanka who don't like Saudi Laws should not go there in the first place, they should follow the Saudi Laws and be carefull not to break any of those laws in the second place. I have been to Saudi and Singapore where laws are very strict, these countries are very disiplined and have very very low crime rates. Sri Lanka is just the oppersite, so best thing for the Sri Lankans who think anythings goes is to not go to those countries.

This is a crime according to Saudis, but when the same people leave this country which is a gross violator of human rights, they can have all kinds of affairs in addition to the paid affairs at 42nd Street New York, Oxford Street/Piccadilly Circus, London, Hamburg Germany, and with women in other centers in western cities. But it is wrong for a Saudi woman to have an affair. This is stupid, the UN General Secretary and the US who greatly speak about human rights should tell Saudis that this is the 21st Century and they have have to follow equal rights rule.

according to shariah, I bet the child has to be born for the mother to be punished and that too ONLY after breast feeding the child for 2 yrs...She is lucky she is divorced... so ONLY lashes... IF she was married and had an extra marital affair, she wud be stoned to death. Wonder if the driver is married already in SL.
