Russia yesterday opposed any discussion of Sri Lanka on the UN Panel report at the Security Council briefing, Inner City Press reported.

Sri Lanka and the UN Panel of Experts’ report were listed in advance as topics of the Security Council briefing by UN Department of Political Affairs Chief Lynn Pascoe yesterday.

At the Security Council meeting Russia had raised a number of ‘procedural’ objections with regard to discussing about Sri Lanka , the Inner City Press said quoting sources.
