Rs.1.3mn robbery at LECO office in Mirihana

Two armed men who came on a motorbike are alleged to have got away with Rs.1.3 million in cash from the LECO office in Mirihana, which is situated right opposite the Mirihana police grounds.

They had pointed the guns at the two cashiers before taking away the money.

The Mirihana police was informed but the suspects had managed to flee the area within minutes. (SD)
