Robber gang remanded

A four member gang wanted in connection with the robbery of cash worth Rs.363,100 and a vehicle worth Rs. 2 million was taken into custody by the Madampe police from Madampe, the Police media unit said

The four suspects were wanted by the police since late January. A car used for the robbery and several other instruments used for theft were also recovered by the police. The four suspects were presented in front of the Chillaw Magistrate and remanded till the 15th of February. The Chillaw police are conducting further investigations. (Daily Mirror online)
