The Pereraha is a religious and ritual thing that is highly regard. But it should not disturb the smooth operation of the daily activities of the public and I do not know why they cannot find out alternative ways to conduct the Perehara.

James Campbell Jayaw Thursday, 26 August 2010 10:17 AM

There are no alternative ways to conduct cultural rituals of the country .The perahara is being conducted in Bellanwila for the past few decades and the people that live in the area have adapted to the perahera. In fact the people of the area like this season of the year.

Can't Perahera take an alternative route instead of putting people in trouble ?

    KD Thursday, 26 August 2010 12:04 PM

According to this logic we should also find an alternative route for Dalada perahara, so that your daily activities can be carried out with no disruption.
