Absolutely important. Once I visited a hotel in Pettah and there were about 7 or 8 dead cockroaches in the water sink, where the drinking water is given for people who are getting lunch there.

Good move. but I suspect that there are corrupt officials taking money from the hotel owners regularley in order for cover ups. we are happy if this is honest move.

Do we have a national policy on the small/medium size restaurants and have they communicated enough on same at the time of issuing license at least.

Good move! but we need consistent raids. we need raids on hotels, small kades, muslim kades like pillows. without wearing gloves they used to make kottu. we need raids in all the hotels, restaurants, lodge toilets and kitchens. We need raids in bars kitchen and toilets.

Last year we saw the star grade hotels taken to courts. Now the small and medium ones raided. Continue the good work. We have to thank those who are behind this move.
