This happens because GOSL will not speak with people like Rapp.

    nazeem Friday, 02 July 2010 07:24 PM

    Good work!

    Devinda L Daulagala Friday, 02 July 2010 02:56 PM

There are no Tamil prisoners of war in Sri Lanka but there are terrorists behind bars of whom the majority happen to be Tamil.

    Nala Friday, 02 July 2010 12:24 PM

Our house is in order. However the den you tigers have crawled out needs to be sorted. Best option would be to setup your circus in Tamil Nadu.

    vajira Friday, 02 July 2010 11:54 AM

A war crimes investigator from US, in company with Tiger apologists....hmm..Good to hear that.

is it ok for Sri Lankan government to influence UN USA etc using China and India against HR probe

Kalu Arachchi Friday, 02 July 2010 09:33 AM

Will these groups remember Kebithigolewa and many other bombings and masacers in cities that killed 1000+?

    Kavitha Friday, 02 July 2010 08:46 AM

May not be Sri Lankans as you say.. but they are belong to the country where they are from.. This must giv you the answer.. as well as the national question

Artem Sckrotamov Friday, 02 July 2010 07:53 AM

these "groups" living off the fat of other peoples lands - quoting some false injustice done to them by the majority are the ones feeding the eelam simply because they have to justify the reason they are living abroad. There is no real issue back in SL. these little cronies are just fooling the do-gooders.

    Rattapakse Friday, 02 July 2010 06:05 AM

Come on man, they are non Sri Lankans, discussing with a non Sri Lankan about the actions of some non Sri Lankans in Sri Lanka or elsewhere. Should we worry?

    gunda Friday, 02 July 2010 05:46 AM

No use howling out what right have they, and they... to interfere? Put your house in order. Then no one will haunt you.

    JEM D Friday, 02 July 2010 03:14 AM

Firstly are these guys who are meeting Mr. Rapp Citizens of Sri Lanka. If not what interest do they have about the future of Sri Lanka or its Tamil speaking citizens.

What is important is to settle the nationalistic issue on one's loyalty. Tamil being only a language and a way of life for some (culture) comes secondary or else we will be talking of issues in India, Malaysia, Singapore regarding the Tamil speaking people.
This is nothing but the Tamil separatist movement trying to raise its head again and foolish Britishers and Americans being taken for a ride

    Dhamsen Friday, 02 July 2010 05:20 AM

When do representatives from Iraq and Afghanistan meet to discuss same issues?

    malkanthi Friday, 02 July 2010 05:16 AM

In other words, SF imprisonment is adversely effecting the government in style!!!

    Enrico Friday, 02 July 2010 05:13 AM

Dear SPARK!, I guess you have a good reason for withholding your name. Firstly, lets touch on the subject of 'Accountability'!!! - Who will hold the Amricans and Brits accountable for Iraq, Vietnam and Afghanistan????? You people should first understand the situation in Sri Lanka before becoming 'experts'. Do the Americans believe in negotiating with terrorists???? For all those who fought against a sovereign nation of Sri Lanka, you dug your own grave!

    bash Friday, 02 July 2010 05:03 AM

Wake up, these are not dogs barking... get real and face the issues in the interest of Sri Lanka, not the regime which will come and go... WE ARE SRI LANKANS AND LOVER OUR COUNTRY, THE REAL PATRIOTS OF MOTHER LANKA, NOT PATRIOTS FOR A REGIME

Manuel Pinto Friday, 02 July 2010 05:03 AM

Rapp is paid by the American tax payers money and LTTE supporters are paid by the LTTE supporters for the trip.

    Sanka-green alliance Friday, 02 July 2010 04:41 AM

As far as i see the Eu and USA have begun to punish Sri Lanka for not listing for their call to not to destroy LTTE terrorist in Sri Lanka.
Either we stand by our feet now or be slaves,...

    malkanthi Friday, 02 July 2010 04:34 AM

Discussing with extremists groups, whether sinhala or tamil will not be helpful. Counselling and reconsilliation by authorities with great knowledge and wisdom will ensure everlasting peace in this country. Focus on rapid development projects, and other tourism attractions will divert our attention from the present humanitarian situation, which the end result will be another civil war!!!

    spark Friday, 02 July 2010 04:26 AM

The crux of the issue is accoutability. In simple terms, If your father is a criminal, would you be happy if the whole family is slaughtered for that? In the same way, if you belong to the Karawe sect, does it mean that all Karawe's should be treated first as criminals unless proved innocent? If you can understand these two examples, you would not mention the humbug you are stating.

    Ami Friday, 02 July 2010 04:25 AM

The Sun, Moon and the Truth cannot be long hidden ! All The Very Best to my Motherland ! It indeed is a very tough period !

    ajith Friday, 02 July 2010 03:51 AM

This is a another testing time of Srilanka governments stamina.
These so called groups and its dependents did force Srilanka during the humanitarian war time with LTTE and their efforts failed. Now they try again.
Do not bow down to their demands.
"Even though the dogs bark the mountains dont fall".

Gayan Samarasekara Friday, 02 July 2010 03:43 AM

Whatevers said and done Sri Lanka has a strong government. Sometimes this intractability might affect the country bad, but thrills the audience. For Ex: EU deadline. So whoever is met, whatever the conditions imposed, Sri Lanka will be unshaken.
