Opposition Leader and Leader of UNP Ranil Wickremesighe today requested the government to bring a new pension scheme for the private sector. Mr. Wickremsighe made this point when he met some trade union representatives at the UNP Head Quarters, Sirikotha today. Sounds like an old communist theory: grab whatever the citizen has and then pay him little by little whilst enjoying the capital for various needs and extravagance of the political elite. It is great that even ordinary people have seen through this "daylight robbery" by the rulers.

If they want to pay pension its fine, but pay the EPF & ETF to the employees first and start your so called pension scheme.

    Gaval Friday, 20 May 2011 10:22 AM

Before anything else we should send ranil on retirement (and give him a pension). If not he will burn the UNP to the ground. Ranil is a really an agent of MR to destroy the UNP.

    LALITH Friday, 20 May 2011 10:09 PM

with or without a pension scheme we want you to retire. We want a strong UNP, either in power or in the opposition. A UNP with a back bone and a strong leader, not a ponna leader
