Why can't Ranil keep his trap shut till after the elections? The UNP is losing votes because of his wrong speeches.

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 12:27 AM

    Ranil has no back bone

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 02:50 AM

I wouldn't doubt his commitment. This is the same man who agreed for the cease fire agreement at a very high cost to our motherland. I am so glad that Rajapakse's were able to reverse it.

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 03:02 AM

You will not only dismantle HSZ but also dismantle Sri Lanka! Ranil, keep dreaming!

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 03:09 AM

Mr Ranil we are at war with the LTTE still the HSZ should be expanded to kill the sleeping tamil tigers before they rise again.

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 05:03 AM

He removed the check points last time too, when he was in power.!

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 05:14 AM

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 06:00 AM

We saw Mr.Ranil's Democracy at Batalanada

    Friday, 19 March 2010 04:41 PM

MR Ranil is a democratic politician no bribery no dishonest. has no place in srilanka for the srilanka president.

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 06:15 AM

We remember. Prabhakaran panicked and allowed MR to win

    Friday, 19 March 2010 04:58 PM

What is more important is lifting the Emergency.

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 06:38 AM

Have you been to north east part of this country ??? Go and speak to people in that area and who displaced from homes, farming land,, etc.

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 06:44 AM

This is not a solution dear friend. How long can you keep them like this? Give a solution that changes the mentality of the people in those areas. do not think of keeping people in open prisons.

    Saturday, 20 March 2010 06:51 AM

If necessary, these should be expanded, he should protect the common masses and not the wrong doers. This will not buy you any votes.

    Friday, 19 March 2010 07:20 PM

Well deserved solution, for a long-suffering community. Should come-out with some more ideas that will draw the Tamil youth to our side and defeat the seperatist mentality.

    Friday, 19 March 2010 07:41 PM

I think you've got to plan how to prevent your newly elected MPs, from running behind MR for perks ...

    Friday, 19 March 2010 07:46 PM

Ranil abandoned SARATH ... Ranil should be defeated for this ...

    Friday, 19 March 2010 08:01 PM

We need a police station on every street and an army camp in every district, to keep our people in check.

    Friday, 19 March 2010 09:01 PM

Of course you will! We saw it during the ceasefire agreement! We have learnt our lesson!

    Friday, 19 March 2010 09:42 PM

All for Tamil votes. He is a loser.

    Friday, 19 March 2010 09:46 PM

There are thousands of acres under the HSZ and no cutivation is taking place - a burden for both the people and country.

    Friday, 19 March 2010 10:08 PM

Well said Ranil, you area real leader!

    Friday, 19 March 2010 10:39 PM

Ranil is day-dreaming. He will be the 'lifetime opposition leader' of Sri Lanka.

    Friday, 19 March 2010 10:51 PM

If a genuine Sinhala leader gives a solution to the Tamils, then, we can all live peacefully.

    Friday, 19 March 2010 11:12 PM

Oh yes, here we go again. Anybody remember what he did with colombo high security zones and what happen afterwords. How can anybody be this stupid!
