A few things that Ranil Wickremasinghe should be apologisiong to the nation are:
1) The disastrous CFA
2) Undermining the war efforts of the armed forces
3) Destroying the once mighty UNP with his failed leadership
4) Tarnishing the image of Sri Lanka abroad
5) Pandering to western nations
Devaka Thursday, 23 September 2010 02:52 AM
How about apologising to the nation for the disastrous peace accord which gave the LTTE everything they wanted?

He should also apologize for making it possible for those UNPers to crossover and vote for the 18th A
lalith Wednesday, 22 September 2010 10:50 AM
We do not need a party leader to apologize, but lead the party to victory.

well said Jehan, RW may be a very efficient leader according to Singha BUT unfortunately he doesn't know or cannot market his efficiency to his own party members.
Singha Wednesday, 22 September 2010 08:51 AM
Dear Ranil
We accept your apology. But you shouldn't stop from there. You got to punish all those who have voted in favor of
18th amendment. Act early. All UNPers know that you are
a leader that country cannot loose. Act boldly. Believe me people are with you. I am sure country will come back to Democratic path
under your leadership.
Jehan Wednesday, 22 September 2010 08:33 AM
Ranil....a leader is a person who inspires peers to follow him not a person orders to follow him, and a leader should be able to guide and control people under him and he should not fall in to a position of making statements to make apology, This shows that you were not able to inspire them to follow u or you were unable to lead them to bow to the common ruling so this statement by you it self raises the question about your leadership and your position as Party Leader.
Chamara Wednesday, 22 September 2010 08:33 AM
Mr.Ranil will surely apologise all the nation very soon.
A Sri Lankan Wednesday, 22 September 2010 07:58 AM
OK. a good start. We can only encourage you and advise you to continue this approach. Be honest to yourself and to the country. Start communicating with your people...and let them decide.
chami Wednesday, 22 September 2010 07:36 AM
Those who voted should be evicted from the party.
OscarWilde Wednesday, 22 September 2010 07:24 AM
How about an apology for the damage caused by you the once mighty UNP??
