    arshad Wednesday, 15 September 2010 10:26 AM

What about the promise made to him by the Presidential Advisor - Is it like the Election Promises made in a menifesto

    Holman Wednesday, 15 September 2010 10:31 AM

Climbing should be prohibited in SL. ha. ha.

    Roshan Wednesday, 15 September 2010 10:47 AM

Climbing is prohibited but to tie a person to the tree is allowed and appreciated.

    Concerned Wednesday, 15 September 2010 11:02 AM

Poor guy. He did not know what that pole was erected for during last presidential elections. That is not there for him to climb and protest. Stepping onto that itself is considered a crime!

    Ajithkumar Wednesday, 15 September 2010 11:34 AM

    Welcom to SL (NEW)

Mango tree Wednesday, 15 September 2010 09:03 AM

I seriously believe Mr. Mervin Silva also needs to go see a psychiatrist!! with him I see no peace in SL!!

    Ranjith Wednesday, 15 September 2010 11:57 AM

This kind of Animal cum JVP behaviours must meet the end. Impose the maximum punishment and give a lesson for others. If not the Court system is invain.

Palitha Heenthotuwa Wednesday, 15 September 2010 01:23 PM

    You must be joking!! LOL

Palitha Heenthotuwa Wednesday, 15 September 2010 01:25 PM

The structure has been removed today.

Probably because many are likely to follow the lead of this guy.

    Thomas Wednesday, 15 September 2010 02:42 PM

Send him to be tied up by Dr. Mervyn to a coconut tree as punishment

    srilal Wednesday, 15 September 2010 05:04 PM

This is a drama ... how you can put him jail?

    Mole Wednesday, 15 September 2010 06:32 PM

    Best school to be in!

    Dinesh Wednesday, 15 September 2010 07:34 AM

Correct decision is made. But why is the same not applicable to Wimal's protest.

    KHKJ Wednesday, 15 September 2010 09:01 AM

Which quite embarrassingly back fired! That is why they don't harp about his "heroics" anymore!

    Rahman Wednesday, 15 September 2010 09:00 AM

Wimal should have been produced in courts as because he was misleading the public saying that he was on hunger strike while eating lemon puff time to time.

    Hash Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:58 AM

Population of schools are decreasing... and the jailed population are increasing...

    Appuhamy Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:53 AM

Very soon, more than 50% of the Sri Lankan's will be in jail.

    UNL Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:38 AM

Why didn’t the government arrest all the JVP and UNP leaders on 8th, for violating public peace?

    Modawansa Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:27 AM

    A minister in the making.

    Dee Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:24 AM

My foot , he protested for the country. all are crack cases anyway.

    Pasindhu Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:20 AM

Politicians can protest for the rights of the country is legal and civilizes protest for their rights is braking of the law.

    Travis Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:13 AM

And why Wimal wasn't produced before a psychiatrist? It's so unfair!

    sltk2004 Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:13 AM

The only relevant point is the visit to a psychiatrist

    sam Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:10 AM

    Agreed machn,
Government making decisions by looking at political points. There no common law any more.

Top Sri Lankan Wednesday, 15 September 2010 08:03 AM

well, why didnt they send him to get a psychiatric report?

    Sharma Wednesday, 15 September 2010 07:58 AM

Why not, at least WW should have been produced in court for violating international peace.

    mightym Wednesday, 15 September 2010 07:55 AM

    Dear Dinesh,
Wimal protested for our country , Not for some stupid thing, So I don't see any relevance.

    Ramy Wednesday, 15 September 2010 07:42 AM

    Dinesh,

This man was wanted by FB for a fraud he had committed, so comparison with Wimal is not relevant ?
