High tech brand new WASTE OF MONEY

    Sincere Thursday, 03 September 2015 10:53 PM

It must be a Guinness Book of world record. The first airport in the world to stock paddy!

    GKA Wednesday, 02 September 2015 02:07 PM

Why cant the government use storage facilities at military bases instead of this hi-tech brand new facility. The military can build temporary storage facilities within a few days using prefab structures for this purposes. Sad state of affairs!!!

    Dammika Wednesday, 02 September 2015 02:09 PM

Please allow those to play in the MRIA with toy planes for them to be satisfied

    Yan Wednesday, 02 September 2015 02:10 PM

    Then store them instead....

    Rationalist Friday, 04 September 2015 11:46 AM

Would these Protestors be willing to clean and maintain the Airport, Free of Charge, till such time as the present Government decides on a suitable use for the Facility?

    Waco Wednesday, 02 September 2015 02:31 PM

It is a crime to store padday.

    DD Wednesday, 02 September 2015 02:35 PM

Its airport. Its fair enough to protest.

    OMG Wednesday, 02 September 2015 02:42 PM

All those who are protesting must be rounded up and made to pay for the upkeep of the airport and also service the billions of debt taken to construct it.

    Labby Wednesday, 02 September 2015 02:56 PM

This is all that MR can now do.

Breaking News: " Due to the protests at MRIA all flights are diverted to BIA"

Idea SL Friday, 04 September 2015 07:33 AM

We can use this air port as hotel like the tea factory, "The Air port" this could include sport complex for training even for foreign training could be conducted. no wastage of money. How is this!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    RD Wednesday, 02 September 2015 04:10 PM

This is not safe for flight operations. This kind of storages will breed rodents and they can migrate into Baggage handling area and get into aircraft. That will be the end. If anyone spot a rodent in an aircraft, aircraft is a NOGO.Wonder who makes such decisions.

    Henry Wednesday, 02 September 2015 04:12 PM

Inefficiency, Improper planning and poor strategies of the Paddy Marketing Board officers are to be blamed for all these troubles. Paddy Harvest was not something like a tsunami.

Sri Lankan Wednesday, 02 September 2015 04:23 PM

Very sad state of affairs for spending public money on building this air port where no planes fly to! Might as well use it for the common good of people who have to pay back the expenditure, interest and commissions!!!
