The Disaster Management Center says investigations are underway into a series of ‘explosions’ which occurred under rock plateaus in Mahawa, Kurunegala over the past few days.
There have not been any reports of damage to property in the area as a result of the explosions.
The Disaster Management Center suspects the explosion sounds may have been caused by movements in the lime stone layers below the earth. (YP)
