Legal action will be taken against students and other groups who behave indecently during the ongoing big match season, Police said.

Police Spokesman SSP P.M. H. B. Siriwardena issuing a statement today said special teams have been deployed in Colombo and other major cities to look into violations of traffic laws and harassment of school students by the big-match aficionados.

He said that action will be taken against those who travel in open vehicles and obstruct roads causing traffic congestion. SSP Siriwardena also requested the parents and teachers to raise awareness among students in this regard.
