Police look for family killer

Three special police teams have been deployed to trace and arrest the youth wanted in connection with the murder of a family of four in Sandaresgama, Eppawala, police spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said.

The police teams are conducting investigation under the directions of a the North Central DIG Jayantha Gamage.

The police recovered a trouser and other belonging thrown away by the suspect, who is a close relative of the victims and lived with them in the same house. He has also taken away the motorbike that was used by the murdered family’s father.  (SD)

    Yes and if he has any connection with the murders, then he should definitely be hung for his acts. hope the law takes a good turn and deals with this very well.

    The police will definitely arrest the youth if he doesn't have any kind of a connection with a government politician. This is the condition for the Sri Lankan police to function.

    Why are the police taking so long to react? Why not release a photograph or details of the suspect to media or number plate of the bike? Surely the public could help!
