A woman who had defrauded several lakhs from persons promising jobs after posing as a close associate of Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa was arrested after an undercover operation by the police today.
The 52 year old woman had promised unsuspecting victims several jobs at the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, the
18 applications were also recovered after the suspect was arrested. The suspect is to be presented to court on Monday. (Daily Mirror online)
