Paul German psychic Octopus is retiring after predicting successfully Spain will win the Football World Cup 2010.

The Sea Life Oberhausen aquarium’s spokeswoman Tanja Munzig told AP Television News Monday that the intuitive invertebrate will “go into retirement and do what he likes to do best: play with his handlers and delight children who come visit to him.”

Paul won worldwide attention as he called all of Germany’s games right — including its semifinal defeat by Spain. He crowned his career by forecasting correctly that Spain would beat Holland in Sunday’s final. (X News)

I think this is absurd, it had got Spain, Germany Euro Final wrong in 2008, so what is the big fuss. it has a success rate of 70%. Come'on we have better things to worry about

Calistus Jayatilleke Tuesday, 13 July 2010 02:29 AM

What a grand way to retire! Its a pity one cannot say the same thing about those two-legged astrologers dotting all over the place.
