The government is confident of securing well over 160 votes for the proposed constitutional amendments to be presented in Parliament this week, Government Minister Dinesh Gunawardena told reporters today.

The government has already obtained the support of several political parties for the proposals including the SLMC as well as a few UNP members. The amendments will be debated in parliament this week and later a vote will be taken for it to be passed. (KB)

    Out of this 160, how many were voted in by the Opposition parties? So, whose opinions are they representing when voting for these amendments. It is a mockery of Demo-Crazy.
