people trying to collect oil from pipeline leakages are living very dangerously. There were lots of explosions and accidents with lots of people dying have been reported from Nigeria! The police and GoSL should prevent people from going there!

Crowding in to collect leaking oil is a dangerous exercise as had been proved before in countries like Nigeria with substantial loss of life. The authorities should have stopped this with danger notices and posting of civic defence personnel to warn the people. Anyway, the next headline could be oil prices hiked to cover up for losses.

The Sri Lankan people are like scavengers. Just because the 'oil' is free what are they going to do with it. I bet the proud Lankans doing this will blame the Zionists and Indians for this.

There was a case in late 80's in which a person was convicted for oozing out petrol from the mail line near the same place by his extra ordinary plumbing skills.

Make sure he came out and not continuing the same trick.

now the dhobi will hold a press conference and say the US or some other country should compensate for this or because of this fuel prices have to go up.
Who knows they may have even caused it themselves to justify a fuel price hike

What the heck?? I assume it's crude. So what's the point in people flocking to collect the stuff? Can they refine it after taking it home? It's not like they can put it in their car or motorcycle or use that instead of kerosene.
