The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said it had decided not to implement a water cut in Ratmalana as announced earlier.

The NWSDB said it was withdrawing its notice issued earlier disconnecting water supply for 21 hours starting 9 a.m. to 6 a.m. tomorrow in Ratmalana along the Galle Road, Maliban Junction, Golumadama Junction and the by roads, Kandawala Road, Airport Road and Raja Mawatha.

Earlier it was announced 21-hour water cut will be imposed in several areas of Ratmalana on the Galle Road due to the Galle Road Development Project.

The NWSDB said the inconvenience caused to the residents in Nugegoda, Maharagama, Kotte, Battaramulla and Madiwela because of the water cut was a reason for the withdrawal.
