The newly appointed Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) National Organiser Susil Premajayantha said Wednesday’s Nugegoda rally was a success and it reflected the power of the ‘betel leaf’.

He expressed these views at a news conference held at the SLFP head office soon after assuming duties as national organiser. The new SLFP Treasurer S.B. Navinna also assumed duties at the SLFP head office.

When a journalist asked whether the Nugegoda rally, organised by four political parties of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) was successful, Mr. Premajayantha said, “Why not.”

He said the SLFP had some issues about participating at the rally because there were no discussions held with the organisers of the rally.

“We would have arrived at a decision if they had consulted us before organising the rally. But what we received was an open invitation afterwards,” he said adding that there was no need to take action against SLFP members who took part in the rally. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

What a timid fellow is this guy , Susil Prem Jayanth ? How can he say that the meeting is successful? He even does not know that he is the national organizer of SLFP. He should have immediately expelled from the party based on this foolish statement. He is still under obligation to Mahinda and all other crooks behind this culprit. It is good to have a National organizer like Prem Jayanth for SLFP since the party will be definitely divided before the next election and this 57 lacks of votes will be vanished soon since the voters if they are still thinking of SLFP, they will realize what the real SLFP now.

However, as a very elderly political observer, I am convinced that Mahinda has been the best leader we have had since independence. I am not a member of any political party. I live in Nugegoda at Stanley Tilakaratna Mawatha. Our road as well as all the adjoining roads have used to park the buses and vans in the afternoon of 18th. That is how they brought the people to the meeting.
