Novice monk killed by deer

A 17-year-old Buddhist novice monk was killed in Lunigamwehera, when the deer that was reared in the temple knocked with its horns the monk today, police said.

The deer was reported to have knocked on the neck of the monk, who had come for studies at the Diya Bendi Vihara Piriwena in Pannegamuwa, Lunugamwehera.  The body is lying at the Debarawewa hospital, police said. (Rukman Rathnayake)

    The deer is in a very confused state, trying to protect itself. It's trying to free itself and get back to where it belong. But it's been tide to a pole. I'm sure it is looking for either for it's mother or partner. via DM Android App
