It is a shame, for both SLC and also Sri Lanka. We can not still give a decent bug free meat to a visiting VIPs. What a state of management.

This is a repetition of what happened to some overseas cricketers in the T20 World Cup recently. At this rate teams visiting Sri Lanka for cricket matches may either boycott or bring their own food as well. Like Shane Warne who got down cans of baked beans when he toured Sri Lanka sometime ago
with the aussie cricket team. "Bombay Belly" should now be called "Kandy Belly". .

It is time we implemented strict codes for food especially for our tourists, last December my family many from abroad, ate at a five star hotel in colombo and were all sick with food poisoning.
This is not good for tourism, and we should clamp down on establishments that do not adhere to basic rules.

Sri Lankan curries, especially prawns, crabs etc. are very tasty and mouth-watering. So obviously the westerners are tempted to eat those, although their bellies take some time to get used to such pungent tropical food. That is all there to it.
