He is trying to drive a wedge between the Tamil and Sinhala races, whilst BBS who is also sponsoring him spewing hatred between the Sinhala and Muslims. This if allowed to continue does not bode well for the Country. The authorities should stamp this down with a heavy foot immediately. The President owes this to the people who voted him to power.

Projects overvalued to have commissions in the pockets, loans taken at high interest, when the government keep paying the loan instalments there is nothing left for development.

Sir.Please enjoy your retirement age.the more you talk people will loose the little bit of respect they had on you.
Freddy Saturday, 13 June 2015 01:15 PM
True the country is waning and going downhill, getting advisers, magicians etc will not help. Leaders must lead or get out, peoples mandate to run the country and economy with employment, etc not revenge. Shouting Corruption without evidence is a waste of time and money a political Gimmick. People are fed up. Yes Mahinda is seen as the most capable candidate in this era, the current regime cannot better him in anyway. The elections will confirm.

This shameless MR should retire gracefully just like the other presidents did when their terms were over. Besides, being the first ever DEFEATED president, he should know to guard his language and let the democratically elected President to do his duty. How could this man, who made billions in covert manner, still have the audacity to talk of the financial situation of the country. It is high time he learns that no one can fool all the people all the time.
Sinnavi Sunday, 14 June 2015 03:46 PM
Mahinda thinks only he knew how to run this country. We all know very well how did he run the country. On the 8th January we gave him a permanent retirement. But he still refuse to accept it.

Why our Sri Lankans forgot the dirtiest war over 30 years and cursing MR for finishing and creating an environment for everyone to live. He is the only President with a backbone who determined to finish the war and develop the country amidst lots of pressure from western countries. We have to accept that there was corruption in his regime but the country was advancing. Now there is corruption but country is going backwards. Now Colombo city is full of uncollected garbage and broken roads. The US$ is 138.00 now. Economy is becoming worse day by day.We should admit that.
PoPo Saturday, 13 June 2015 09:31 AM

Manel Saturday, 13 June 2015 09:40 AM
Definitely the economy of your family at stake but not the economy of poor people.

the international banks who lend money have strict guidelines. They have professional accountant and financial executives who look into projects before approving loans. Loans mostly approved will be given in portions with the progress of the project.

If you were so good how did your party general secretary beat you. For the elections you had colossal spending of state funds, used state vehicles and personnel, state electronic and print media. But you simply could not beat MS. You will return to serve the people? You come to serve yourself.
